Dang June came and Went fast

So many of the book club members were gonna be gone or had other commitments that we decided to delay our meeting to Thursday June 18th. Our latest read and discussion was Ward D by Frieda McFadden.  It was pretty good but not as good as her others but still worth the read.  It was about a young medical student that had to intern in the psyc ward and she had a major feel of being there. This was not want she wanted to study but it was part of the program.  Amy was afraid they'd find she's crazy and keep her.  LOL Sounds like everyone's fear. Anyway she would be locked in for 12 hours.  There were a couple people about to surprise her and so many twists.  Some of them shouldn't have been.  Her fear drove her instead of thinking rationally.
Jerry is all healed and fiesty as ever. He's missing his cows but I was giving him some much needed attention and carrots. The cows that are on the property aren't sure about Jerry yet.  He's a pretty boy.
Pamela had to work on Father's Day so we asked Kaleb to come up to the farm and hang out with us. He was wanting a Taco Ring for Lupper and David thought that sounded good too. It was a quiet and relaxing day. Well except for Pamela at the hospital.  I saved her a piece of Taco Ring and sent it home with Kaleb.
On Friday (6/26) we met up with The Jackson at the Hula Hut in Austin. It was pretty tasty and the company was great.  I had shrimp tacos, David and Kevin had a huge burrito and Pam had a nice looking taco salad. After lunch we headed to the coffee shop down the walk way and then sat out on the patio looking at the water. Pam bought the coffee in a bag and I got an iced sugar free Mocha special coffee. Yum
The patio started getting warm so we headed to their house to hang out and visit a while longer. We got to meet Coco their sweet puppy. She is so adorable. And before we knew it, it was time for us to head home.

The fun had to end darn it. Until next time.
And now I need to finish packing my car for a summer quilt retreat with 10 of my quilty besties.
Bruno and Sadie will have to keep David out of trouble.
