Nature, Celebration, Quilt shops and THE WINNER

So all of David's new plants are growing like crazy.  You can hardly see the old plow. And our lovely barn swallows are back building nest and having babies on our back patio.  While they might be pretty and noisy, they are extremely messy. And if you add 4-6 babies it's worse. They added 3rd nest before we could stop them. Uugggh. And in the front they have one built in the peak of the front porch. Not good.  Now Momma mocking bird made her next out in one of the trees near the fence. I actually got to get a picture before came back to attack me.  And the lark sparrow was just off the front porch and kept her eye on me.

She was hanging out in the Vitex tree. I'm guessing she has a nest in there but I didn't go check it out.

On Sunday 5/24, we went to our neighbor's graduation celebration. It was a fun time. They had BBQ and Mudbugs.  Yum.  Thank you Bill and Kerry for inviting us to Samantha's celebration. Congratulations and Best Wishes to Samantha. Here's to a successful future and some fun too at college.  And Linda your house does make a nice party house. You're a great Mimi to have all those kids spend the night at your house.  Brave too. LOL What a great group of kids. Maybe I should say Young Adults.
This was at the entrance to the party. LOL This pretty girl had quite an eventful High school life. Moot Court, One Act Play, National Honor Society, FFA Vice president , Student council, and belt buckles for barrel racing over the years.  I know she did a mock trial and won.  I think the real lawyers were very impressed and hoped they wouldn't ever have to go up against her in a real trial.  I believe I heard she's going to study law. Image. This young lady was/is very active.
Well this is my last picture I took of Momma #21 and her baby that we named Kelli.
It's a mother daughter talk.  On June 11th we sold our small herd but we do still have Jerry. Right now he's a little lonely even though we have leased our pasture out to a neighbor for his cows. His cows aren't any more impressed by Jerry than ours were for now.

On May 30th David had a race and while he was gone I went and played. I happened to see a new quilt shop was opening up in Jewitt. So I took off on my adventure. First I stopped at Railroad Cotton Exchange. One of my favorite shops.  That's Tina and Christine the owners and a sneak peek in their shop. I'm using pictures they took because I go in and get to looking and forget to snap a picture or two.  They some really really pretty fabric. This time I bought 4 quarter yards of their different Aggie fabrics to take to Pamela's for her to pick the backing for her Aggie T-shirt quilt. There were more to choose from but I picked my favorites.
This is 2 of the 4 I bought. There other 2 are still at Pamela's. She's still trying to decide which she wants. Unfortunately the maroon polka dots are reading black.
I hung around and talked with Christine for a bit before heading to Jewitt.
It was a nice drive down hwy 79.  The new shop is called Tee's Quilting Barn. You'll drive to the east end of town and the shop is on the right. This advertisment popped up on my FB page and I'm a glutton for quilt shops.

I know I'm gonna get this wrong but I want to say this was the owner, Teri's sister. Sorry I don't remember but anyway I made it and checked out the shop. They're still getting product in and setting up the shop. They had a small set back right before they opened. There was a water leak and that needed to get taken care of. Luckily they had moved most of the product off the table and out of the way of the water leak.  I'll give them some time to get more product but I'll go back. Very friendly but then aren't 99% of the quilters out there nice.  You bet they are.

So Here's the big exciting news.... David texts me and tells me he's in the final round. Yahoo!  and then I had to wait for a while before he called to tell me that HE WON!
Yep he Won. He got a plaque and Money.   He was Happy Guy!!  Way to Go!
The twins are going to day camp and it keeps them busy. They roller skate one day, swim another, Movie one day, a park the next and Fridays they stay put at the camp. And two days a week they do Mixed Martial Arts. This should build confidence, discipline, and strength. From the first class to the fifth there's an improvement. Their Mom thinks she might keep them in the activity even after school starts back up. The boys love it.

Someone got a hair cut and Looking good. Kaleb had made a deal with Pamela and she achieved her goal so he went to get his hair cut.  He was ready too anyway.  He just loves having his picture taken. LOL

Sunday (6/14) was wine pickup day at
the Rising Sun Winery. And of course the other Kennedy's are going with us.  Club Members were served pork butt, beans, potato salad and watermelon. Yum.  All the food is cooked by the owner for all us members plus we each get one free glass of wine or beer.  Kelli and John are getting the hang of the traditional. LOL Pictures must be taken or it didn't happen.  Good Friends, Good food, wine and FUN!

Welp I'm gonna sign off for now. Hopefully I can get one more blog post in before the end of the month but who knows.
Until the next post...Today I will not stress over things I cannot control
